The Challenge

• To determine the concentration of vinyl acetate in ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer

• Several samples of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer were scanned and analyzed using FT-NIR
• A correlation between the concentration of vinyl acetate and the FT-NIR response was established
• It was demonstrated that using the spectral differences in the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, the concentration of vinyl acetate could easily be determined
  

• To obtain high quality polymer blends with confidence without time consuming, costly, and destructive testing by using FT-NIR Spectroscopy
